Hey i am in the market for a new surfboard. i am 17 years old, about 5' 7" and almost 140 pounds. i have surfed and mastered an 8 foot foamboard and am ready to upgrade. i surf in cape may new jersey where the waves are on average 3 foot tall. but can get up to about 15 feet. i cannot decide whether to get a 6'4" nsp shortbaord or a 6'8" nsp funboard. i have enough expirience to hanlde both, but since the waves are usually small, i dont know if i should get the funboard in order to catch more waves or the shortboard to get a little bit more turning. any recemendations?

Couple of hundred miles south of you and similar coast so I would say funboard if your looking for a stick you can ride all the time. But if your a rare occasion guy I would say the shortboard. I bring both a 8'2 charger and my shortboard with me everyday... I love riding my shortboard and prefer to ride it; but the waves don't always agree with it...
