How to not fall off plz, and Foot placement.

Hey guys I've gotten alot better i'd say since the last time but i'm still havin lots of troubles.

Question 1: Every once in a while i'll get a wave thats perfect I'll get on it and kinda play with it but sometimes when i reach the bottem my board nose goes underwater. obviously either too much lean into the front or my foots to far forward. I need to know where to place my feet! I bought the board a 6'6 fish bruce jones with tractionpads and a stomp pad(they came with it) So naturally i'd want to keep my feet within the area of that part of the board. But i'm starting to think that the stomp pad is not where i should be placing my foot. I stall if i do that or go way to slow on a wave (I think). So when i pop up on a 6'6 fish surfboard with 3 fins how and where should my feet be? EX: I'm goofy footed so my right foot goes in the middle of the board? or a little bit further toward the nose? Where shuld my feet be if not on the stomp pad. I feel like the board will sink if i go to far back.

Question 2: How do you avoid falling off while turning? it seems i angle the board or want to turn like a skateboard. but if i look left or right i wont really turn. I know i have to point to the direction i want to go with my leading arm, but does that mean i need to point like crazy? left and right left and right to gain speed? thanks

Hey naniekso I think you're on the right path. If you're are pearling, you want to make sure you are further back. Your back foot should be right in the center of your fin set up and your front foot should be about shoulder width apart. You can sometimes spread your stance more to help get speed and to have more control but you should work on being able to surf with your feet closer together.

As for turning, point that arm. Put it way out in front of you, and point it hard. Your body will follow. Eventually you will figure out how to do it without having to point so much. If you're looking for more tips, I know of a great place to read articles (begin self promotion), I won't spam with a link, but its <<...still going to be removed :bang: >>
