Hi I'm 12 years old, and surf as much as possible, I ride a 6'8'' McCoy. I'm trying to learn how to do a left bottom turn, but I'm allways way to squirely and fall. I need all of the help I can get.

I assume you're natural? (ie left foot forward)

if so, then its all about leading with your shoulders, a nice wide stance with weight through your heels.

And point where you want to go - you look a bit peculiar, but it gets you where you want to be.

Thank you for the help. I'll try it out, I don't mind what I look like, I'll just be happy to get.

Ya just look in the direction you want to go and that should naturally make your shoulders point that way too. Try to stay on your heels.

If you are 12 your 6'8 should not be squirley at all. What kind of fin system do you have?

Please give me your weight while you're at it.

Also, fin system means FCS, or Futures, or Glass on's, and which specific fins. The fins always have markings so you know your set up, usually letters and numbers. For example the most common FCS fins are M5, the most common Future fins are FEA450
