does ur board submerge completely?

not a shortboarder myself... but seeing some1 in the lineup today with a 100% submerged shortboard. how is that possible? why didn't the board sink?
just curious...

it has enough float - nothing that has enough boyancy is gonna sink to the dedpths of the ocean. You can take a balloon and push it under water but thats just because you are exerting enough force and weight to hold it under when you release the ballon rokets to the surface. The same is with a surfboard.
One of my boards when i sit the water line reaches my upper chest but when you start to paddle it floats fine.

yep same for me one board i have goes under the water when i sit on it this is because all of my weight is in one spot on the board as soon as i lay on it to paddle my wieght is spead across the board, so it floats on the top fine

LOL.. my 5'11''' submerges 100 percent.. but i am wondering if he was talking about while laying down...
