Well i got my brand new Epoxy Quad Fin Bat Tail Shortboard. From my good friend Greg Sauritch
http://www.sauritchsurfboards.comDims are - 6'0 x 19 x 2 1/4. Its honestly the lightest board i have ever had. Its geared up as a performance board in mushier waves from 2ft - overhead+

. Have not yet tried it yet as theres no real waves.

Ooh, nice
Is it an off-the-rack or a custom epoxy?
Looks like it should fly (actually, with me on it, it would sink, but with you on it - it'll fly)

Looks like it will be a lot of fun for rail to rail surfing, a lot of speed down the line.
Looking forward to hearing the ride report.
Killer board.

well i finally took it out for a spin in less than good waves but i managed to score a few rides to see the boards potential. IM super stoked with how it flys and responds. Now all i need is some real waves to rip it on.

Nice board! I'm sure it'll be awesome when you get some sweet waves to shred it on.

well i finally got some real waves to try it out on. Took it out in consistant surf with some sets head high + i think its my new favourite board i put it through some rigourous testing and did a lot of stuff i normally wouldnt on any board just to see if i could. I was actually suprised i thought the board would get stuck on the bottom turns in larger surf but it didnt. Very fast down the line and really nice for wrap arounds. i can confidently say it works in 2ft mush great and rips it in 5-6ft+ thicker waves. I was also pleased that i could make some super later drops without any trouble the quads i had ridden previous tended to warble a little on ultra late drops but this works without a hitch. All in all the board is very fast, turns great, paddles really easily and a perfect addition to the quiver which now stands at 12 boards granted half of them are beaters and spares but ah well

Really cool looking board! I'm sure the quad fins must be crazy. May I ask, how does the bat tail affect the ride compared to say a rounded pin?

well bat tails basically do the same thing as swallow tails. Give you two points to pivot off of. Very good for rail to rail surfing. However i found the bat tail a touch more squirlly in the tail. I couldnt imagine riding a bat tail without a quad set-up though. This set-up is great for mushier waves where you still want to get maximum preformance out of the wave. Most boards you will be toting a rounded pin would be punchy sizable waves for the most part. Although that said i have had not much trouble in late take offs nor bigger waves with this board.
