Ok Dudes. I am 45 (caugh) 46 next month and maybe even :unuts: . I am 5' 11" 180 to 185 lbs. I Surfed 8 years in So Cal when younger (a lot). Now I am an old Nor Cal Valley  . Well this Valley wants to come home. I have not surfed but once in 20 years. When I did it was fun. I still Skate long and short boards today. I skate my long board about everyday with the dog.
I learned on a Plastic Fantastic 5' 9" short board in the 70's. No wonder it took so many days to learn LOL! Now you know a little about me.
Anyway I was looking at a board in the 6'6" to 6'8" size. Should I get the fat boy? Whould that make it easy to paddle and catch waves? I will be doing roller coasters (are they still called that?) cut backs, hiting the lip and just having fun with a barrel here and there. I'm not a old fart yet lol. I want to shred, rip, tearin it up as much as this 46 year old body will let me  . Well after the rust comes off LOL!
Thanks for the help Dudes!

Don

well, a fatboy would make it easier than a skinny stick but still may find it difficult, why not just try before you buy or rent so you know where you're at
