A little update

So... I started surfing a month ago, started with a 7'6" and now I am on a 6'6" and riding it quiet well, very happy with my progress. I've been riding waves from 1' to 6', with different conditions, I surf in the gulf of mexico, we don't have the best waves but you can learn very well on them and even do little movements. I have tried but I am yet not able to turn on a wave to do tricks, I am sure with time it will come, so no worries there. I am yet to be able to correctly grab some waves though sometimes they start braking a little earlier than I think and sometimes they don't break when I think they will.

Anyways, I just wanted to post this little update as I haven't been online much due to surfing (:p) and university. But I believe it's a great progress I've made and I have to say I love surfing, I want to take it to the max! I am just turning 20 so I might have some possibilities! :)

looks like yall got quite a swell producer headed your way...have fun and keep at it. i went out today in 2-3 foot closeout mush just because i hadn't been in the water for a few days. the tricks come with time, i'm still getting to that point, but i'm not really all about airs and all that stuff. i just want to make deep carves and throw buckets and cruise

Yeah, huge swell started today but it probably is not going to be surfable due to the wind so... nothing to surf now. This last 3 days has been beautiful though. Some nice 2' - 4' waves. Really enjoyable. I want to get to the airs and all that, I know that with patience and practice it will come.

You should come to the panhandle like pensacola, were there is nothing but close outs, it sux trying to learn here, long boarding on smaller days is great but when the surf is up, the waves are a full close out all the way down the coast and its hell getting out back even with a short board, anyways just saying I think the Gulf suck, espesialy the panhandle!!

Johnnierjr.....you should have traveled to the west part of the gulf coast near clearwater, tampa area....you had solid clean head high + swell the past couple of days, heck today it was 8-15 ft. barrels!! I didn't get a chance to go but saw some pics......one word. Jealous
