Buying a new shortboard and was wondering what ideas everyone had for a small wave high performance short. I was thinking about getting the channel island flyer f. What do you guys recommend for a good small wave short?

I bought an Al Merrick Flyer a few years ago and sold it. I don't know if it was a lemon, but my husband and I both didn't like it. The Lost Speed Demon was a pretty good small wave board. It paddles really well and quick down the line, but the relatively flat rocker makes it kind of hard to take off steep on overhead sets. In general I've had good experiences with Lost Mayhem boards, they're just difficult to find in Hawaii and expensive (about the same as Al Merrick boards). Now we buy our boards from local shapers Kerry Tokoro and Wade Tokoro now (lots of the pros order boards from them for Hawaii contests).
