New to Shortboards

Postby jdec83 » Fri Dec 01, 2006 2:48 pm

I'm new to shortboarding, and seem to have a problem. With the board being so much lighter then my old 7'2" fish it always seems like when I pop up I'm always stepping on the back too hard and the board is flying up. Any suggestions?

The only advice I can give you is to keep practising! The more you practise, the better you'll get... one day it'll all fall in place.

Yeah Timmo's right the only way to fix a problem like that is too vigorously work on it.

It sorta sounds like it's skidding out from under you. Are you falling back? Like dropping into a mini ramp on a skateboard with too much weight on the back?

If so, maybe you're not leaning forward enough. Or whatever it is, practice will fix it.
