Matt Kechele Stub Fish

Postby kong37 » Fri Jun 09, 2006 8:08 pm

I'm interested in the Matt Kechele Stub fish 5'10" NOSE: 14 3/8 , MIDDLE: 19 1/2 , TAIL: 15 3/8 , THICKNESS: 2 1/16. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs, it's my third year riding and feel pretty confident with the 6'2" im currently riding but want something with a little more fish characteristics. Just wondering if this board is a little too small for me although it's pretty thick throughout. Also was wondering if anyone has ridden it and has any comments regard the board itself.

Thanks in advance.

here a link to it in more detail: http://www.bravesurf.com/acatalog/MATT_ ... oards.html

what type of waves will you use it for? Will you be wearing a wetsuit? These are all factors. Assuming you will be riding small summer mush waves and not wearing a wetsuit I would say the board is fine. You may want to go a little thicker though, say 2.25-2.38. 5'10 is an ok length for you b/c you are only 5'8.

i'd say go for it, it's a fish so it's more than long enogh, both me and my friend ride fish that are as tall as we are. neither of use have been surfing for more than a year.

It seems pretty narrow for a fish, but what do I know.
