Wakesurfing... Surfskating???

Postby sideways » Sun Feb 26, 2006 6:31 am

Has anybody seen or used a wakeboard style twin tip board out in the surf. I searched this but didn't come up with much.
I love wakeboarding, and now surfing also. But would love to be able to do 180's and powerslides and stuff like on my wakeboard, and kickflips, shoveits and stuff like on wakeskates.

I was thinking that it could be possible to do it on a large wakeboard that is a bit thicker. But the main problem is finding one of these and attaching some sort of leggie.

Anyway, what's everyones thoughts on the idea.

They use that type of board for toe-in surfing.
Obviously they toe-in on the BIG waves but also on normal size surf too to get massive airs where they are able to use much smaller boards (even bodyboards!) and get more speed up - which you would need to use a wake-style board on waves.

yeah if you towd in... i'd be doable, but you'd need a super fast wave with lots of power, and a way bigger board to really do much.
