What kind of board to get?

Postby FormosanSurfer » Wed Feb 15, 2006 1:00 pm

I currently ride a 6'9 shortboard. However, it is really more of a big wave board so it's a bit hard to carve on smaller waves and with summer comes smaller waves round here. So I am thinking about getting either a fish (like maybe an NSP) or a 6'2 Spider 407A http://www.safarisurfco.com/content/view/22/73/

The spider is definitely a better board but the cost is also a factor. BTW, I am 5'10 weigh about 65kg and have been surfing about a year (but probably 4+ times a week).

Well, I dont know what board you should get but Ive just spent an enjoyable lunch hour looking at Spider boards and wondering whether there's room in the camper for one more board

Definitely go for the spider over the NSP. Worth every penny :D

And the 407A looks like a nice board for small-ish waves 8)

Might be time to phone my bank manager again....
