Whats everyone out there riding, and what are your magic sticks in the quiver? Interested in what good popular models are being ridden. Even some of the local shaper shapes and designs.

Magic......

All my boards I buy second hand. I am not hung up on brands, marketing or much of anything.....just matters if it works for me. The board in the photo is my favorite, works in just about anything, made by a Hawaiian shaper who comes here a few months out of the year and shapes for our conditions. I like the Indo flag spray job too.....this is the board that I broke my jaw with in a wipeout a couple months ago....still love it.

My "Magic" board is a Carl Schaper custom longboard for World champion Bonga Perkins. It was one of the boards that he did not like for whatever reasons. But that board is total mind controlled, it does whatever you want it to. I only bring that board out for contest. Goes to show what someone might not like, might be loved by someone else. ( gotta ask my ex-wife about that ? )

Here's that board in it's first contest

I should give Kimo Greene his props....he deserves it. Great board, will never sell it.

Hope you gave the SUP rider who 'dropped in' on the first wave a piece of your mind.... very quietly from a long way away!

My go to board is an 8 foot fungun made by a local shaper named Topper

So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

My (6ft, 165-170lbs, 54yo) quiver is around 8-9 boards, I buy, try, and if I don't like it, sell. I don't have 1 magic board but 3 and my preference shifts from time to time but always between those 3 boards.

- Firewire Submoon 8'2", 60L. Makes everything so easy and still offers a dynamic ride. Also on weak waves I can experiment a bit with cross stepping, hang five.

- Firewire Addvance 6'6", 48L. A versatile shortboard that paddles and catches like a longboard, on a fit day..

- Firewire Hashtag 6'2", 33.8L. Great for steeper waves and hollow takeoffs, goes where u look, fast!

On all three boards I prefer the smallest possible fins for a nice loose feeling so I can easily make the speed I need.
Death is coming to Brooklyn. And it's got buck teeth and a cotton tail!

My favourite is my starboard pro 8'5 x 112l

I'm hoping my surfing favourite will be my custom that I had made before my archillies accident.
Prior to that it was the FireWire dominator in 5'6. Flat, fast, agile, just inspired me to rip and find the pocket
