Anybody bought a surf board with receipt lately?/

Postby citia1985 » Sat Jun 07, 2014 1:59 pm

hi guys,

Have Anybody bought a surfboard in the previous years?
I would need a receipt for insurance, since i bought mine for cash it is not acceptable to be insured...and I'm freaking scared of flying with American Airlines and my baby

I would need nothing else but a copy of the receipt so i could process my travel insurance. Im going to the Dominican Republic for 3 month and you know how it is, wanna make sure that not just me but my board covered too.
Im riding a broadly 5'11 narrow as hell board, bought it in Australia for cash from a guy who preferred to get something more user friendly one :)
So here I'm now with my favourite stick but no receipt.

receipt from any country and any value welcome :)

Thanx for looking,

Peace and love
Z

Wow dangerous territory there. legally what you are asking is for somebody to be an accessory before the fact!
Should you make a claim, if the receipt for the board doesn't match the board, then your claim could be seen as fraudulent!
Worse still making false statements in fact could cause your entire policy to be null and void and your premium would also be lost. The other aspects you insured against would be effected!

"Insurance cover you for everything except a claim." Joke quote there! but they do look for reasonable reasons not to pay.
A valid receipt should have the name of the purchaser the product in detail and the purchase value.
If these don't match well all of the above might apply!.
A secondhand board you love, this I understand and a good surf travel policy ( well in Australia any way) should include boards. ( Here some even include surf damage).
Don't like the policy shop around, after all what is the board really worth?
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷
