Hi All,
I've riding thruster setup since I started surfing (never surfed any smaller than 6'10") but was thinking about getting a retro twinny.
Had a go on one not so long ago and instantly felt there was some difference (it was a 6 footer with a good lot of float). First of all i noticed that people always say that they catch waves like a longboard, I didnt seem to think so, they do catch better but I still had to take the drop quite late.
Also, for some reason, I noticed some times I had quite a wide stance when riding it, is this totally incorrect? I've never used a wide stance on a regular board as you wouldnt be very manouverable? I heard some say you have to do a lot of 'front foot' surfing on retro fish, what is this?
Besides all this, I did get some nice fun rides and def gonna get one, there's very little info on how they're ridden on t'internet and would really appreciate your views on retro twins.
Cheers all,
S
