To buy or not to buy...

Postby rentatommyg » Mon Sep 27, 2010 6:26 pm

Hi folks. So, I have been riding on a 8'4" Robert August funboard and a 7'4" funboard. I am doing pretty well at catching waves and usually don't miss too many that I should have caught.

Now, I want to get something shorter and was aiming for something like a 6'3" fish. However, a friend of mine who is leaving the coast for work is offering me his like new 6'2" 19 1/4 x 2 Channel Islands/Al Merrick Flyer @ $250. I am 6'0" tall and I weigh in at about 155lbs (~70kg).

I dream of ripping on a board like this; although, I know I am doomed to a couple months of frustration. I get out several days a week.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

Can you use it for a day or two to see how it's going to work for you?
