fins on a surfboard

i shortboard but im goin to saunton in north devon (really slow long walled wave) 2mo to try and teach the girlfriend to surf. its goin to be about 2ft so im taking my mal, its a thruster and 7"2 i want to make it really loose so i can get a few turns in. how can i do this? i thought of just putting two small fins on (like a twin fish set up) would this be alright? any ideas would be appreciated, cheers

You can try two fins in it. I would go with a single center fin. Get a cut-out, not a full fin. They allow for more side-to-side movement. (thinner on the bottom, with a thicker part towards the tip)
