Nine Plus Magic Carpet for sale - NOW WITH PICTURES!!!!

Postby Surfing-Innovation » Tue Jul 03, 2007 2:22 pm

Nineplus 'Magic Carpet' 6' 10" by 22" by 3 3/16" shaped by Mark Neville at Nine Plus.

Some minor repairs (done properly - completely watertight) and some minor compression dings (and I do mean minor).

Complete with Nine Plus 'Magic Carpet' board bag and Nine Plus 'Magic Carpet' fin. Oh - and it has a tail pad on it too.

This package would cost upwards of £550 new - looking for serious offers around £270.

Cash on collection - maybe arrange to meet somewhere if you're local or I'm on a surf trip.

Pics sent for serious enquiries.

Cheers

:D

my dads looking to get into surfing, was wondering where you live (area) and how much (roughly) you want for it?

I'm in Cheshire - and I'm after serious offers - but I honestly wouldn't call this a beginner's board............

Couple of points - I got the size slightly wrong - it's 3 3/16 thick and half an inch narrower than I originally put, at 22".

The ding in the last pic (on the nose) looks worse on camera than in the flesh, but it's the only 'bad' ding - there's another similar, but smaller, one on the rail and the odd compression jobby and small area where the resin has gone a bit 'crazy paving', but it's nothing you wouldn't find on most other used boards. I could keep schtumm about them, but I'm nothing if not honest!!

I've got bigger versions of the pics if anyone wants them sent by email, although they don't show much that isn't viewable on these really..........

Anyway - 'tis a solid and really fun board - almost as chuckable as a shortboard, but way easier to paddle and catch smaller waves on - plus you can get easy stretch fives on it and I've seen people getting proper 5s and even sketchy 10s on them!! I've ridden waves from a foot up to 6 foot (wave faces) and had some really good sessions. If I could afford to keep it AND get a new longboard made, then there's no question I would - but I can't, so I can't........

Would suit either a shortboarder looking for something to ride on smaller days or mellower breaks, or a longboarder looking to either step down or just have some Slater-esque ripping fun without going the shortboard route...........

Cash on collection or Pay Pal / Cheque (cleared) before picking up - or maybe arrange to meet up if I'm on a trip.

magic carpet

Postby samwak » Wed Jul 11, 2007 5:37 pm

Hi I'm interested in the Magic Carpet. Do you ever surf over on the east coast as I'm based in Newcastle. If not have you looked into cost for delivery? What's your email address, i can't find anything on the surf innovation web site. Thanks Sam.
