Surfing Waves

Hello all. I am getting into surfing in Lake Michigan and need some board advice. I have surged before in California and want to have a board I could use both here and there. This boarded on Craigslist but I'm just wondering if it is really the right one for me. I can't find much info on the board of the shaped. What type of board is this considered? And is it good? Would it work well for me for where I want to use it? Thanks!
I am 5'11 and weigh 155 lbs
The board is 7'6"
