Surfing Waves

Hi guys

After a cheap short board. it doesnt have to be structurally surfable just enough to look cool on the top of my VW. Preferably in Hampshire and surrounding areas.

Well VWolfie240 I don't know what I think about this post! HMMMMMMMM I'm hoping you are a member of some sort of VW appreciation society for appreciation of vintage cars, because if you an another sort of board needer to give you some some of street cred and image there is an old surfing term that suits you perfectly "HODAD". Meaning fake surfer trying to impress chicks
Hodads drove around with surf bards bolted to the roof racks or in one case had half a board complete with fin hanging out the back of an estate wagon, ( giving the look of a board inside)
If you are of the vintage car appreciation type do your research and seek a board of the period to complete your beetle.

If you are just trying to be in the surfing image and look cool, until you surf yourself, you would be the epitome of a kook and severely laughed at where ever you show up.
Which for cool would be an epic fail!!!

Well funnily enough, even though im sure you are purely on this forum to cause havoc and stir with people because of your one sided view, i am actually a surfer. and the reason i am looking for a board is because i dont want to put my particularly expensive board on my roof to get sun damage. Im not just another FAD man im a genuine guy, who genuinely surfs, and has a beetle. Perhaps being stereotypical, but genuine none the less.

NO Wolfie I'm not on this forum to create havoc or have a one sided view. Having a beetle is now no longer stereotypical, I am still trying to understand , you have good board tick, you want a board on the roof to look cool hmm OK.
There are things like board socks that will protect your board in the Hampshire sun , they work in Australia. Much cheaper than a banger board.
Next question where are you going to put your expensive board whilst you have the replicant on the roof?
As for the hodad bit well that is a genuine term that covered the behaviours of putting a board or clothes on to pretend to being a surf we can cross that off.

Now for where to get a board go down to the local surf shop or the west coast of England buy a cheap secondhand off the rack, try gumtree or England' s Ebay.
Hardly one sided, just your whole request and supporting statements still make me not quite understand.
