Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I have a 15 year old son with Tourette syndrome, things don't come easy for him, but he learned how to surf this summer, I have never seen him so happy as when he was surfing, I think it was very theraputic. I am a single mom on a very limited income, but would love to get him a board. We live in the Southern California area. Can anyone hook me up with an inexspensive board, or a board that they are no longer using and would like to donate? I would be so very grateful to anyone that can help. My email address is kreinbrat@aol.com
Please contact me if you have any suggestions....thanks

I would suggest checking out E-Bay or a local shop that sells used boards. Is he looking for a longboard or a shortboard? I got a nice 8'6" used board with three fins for $360...not too bad. But you could probably wrangle one for around $250.

u should go check out your local surf shop, a good begginer board is a long board, if he is a begginer< kinf of like if he just started, u should look for soft top boards(foam boards), my local surf shop sells foam longboards around 220 dollars, but if u want him to have a fiberglass or epoxy, be prepard to spend around 350-1000 dollars.
